Eligible Magazine presents: Toronto’s Most Eligible Bachelor/Bachelorette Auction for SickKids

Last week, at a sexy & sweet pre-Valentines event to benefit Sick Kids Hospital, the Petite & Sweet team took part in Eligible Magazine’s Bachelor/Bachelorette auction, held at Arcadian Court & hosted by Bachelor Canada winner Brad Smith & his lovely fiancée, Bianka Kamber.

Catered by Oliver & `Bonacini , the night featured some of the most eligible single men and women Toronto has to offer, and also, some of the city’s tastiest gourmet treats!

As the exclusive dessert sponsor of this stylish event, we knew we had to make something memorable, so we created this one-of-a-kind custom sweet table to showcase what we offer, designed entirely in foamcore to replicate our very own Rosedale boutique. We kept the backdrop simple in our signature black & white so that the desserts and the amazing peacock floral installation (all done in eye-pleasing shades of deep purple, lavender and lilac) could stand out and shine before all the event’s guests.

A big thank you to everyone involved, for the night was a gorgeous success!

SOFA: Source of Furniture & Accessories Cocktail Party

The who’s who of Canadian designers and industry professionals came together for the annual Canadian Home Furnishings Market in Toronto to show off the latest trends and fresh new home design collections. Over 300 manufacturers and distributors were celebrating the recent rise in demand for high-quality, Canadian-made furniture. To toast the optimism in the market, SOFA: Source of Furniture + Accessories hosted their exclusive annual cocktail party presenting “What’s New + What’s Next” in home furnishings. Canada’s largest one-stop design center with 200,000 sq. ft. of permanent interior design showrooms, SOFA opened up its doors to over 500 attendees, who enjoyed light libations, hors d’oeuvres and captivating sweet table.

Of course the grand highlight of the evening was your very own Petite & Sweet of the Food Network’s Sugar Stars’ 2 ft. by 4 ft. real-life replica of a model kitchen made entirely of cake. The decadent chocolate dessert was based on the Distinctive Appliances and Canadel shared booth design for the upcoming International Design Show. These two companies — Distinctive Appliances is Canada’s largest independent distributor of kitchen appliances and Canadel is a major Canadian dining furniture manufacturer.

Valentine’s Day - LOVE IS SWEET LOVE IS MESSY

It`s almost that time of year again, as the first big holiday of the New Year draws upon us and February 14th quickly approaches, were once again surrounded by reclaimed images associated with this amorous day know as Valentin’es Day.  

For years, we have seen this holiday splattered with images of cupid, roses, romantic dinners, and most of all L.O.V.E - you know, that perfect love that everyone is searching for - the one that gives you butterflies in your tummy and makes you do crazy things. 

Well here at Petite & Sweet, we decided to be a little more realistic in our interpretation of Valentine`s Day. 

We decided to let out the messy part of LOVE by splattering red chocolate on our angelic white sweet table. Dressed with fluffy white cakes, delectable French macarons, mouth-watering cupcakes and gorgeous sugar cookies - just to name a few

You know the kind of love that`s not always perfect, Yes friends, LOVE is very sweet but also messy at times. Don`t you agree?
