Petite & Sweet TV: A Little Bridal Inspiration

The weather is warming up and that means that wedding season is quickly approaching. There’s a lot of pressure put on the bridesmaids to throw a dazzling bridal shower for their special friend. That’s why this week on Petite & Sweet TV, we wanted to show you how planning a bridal shower doesn’t have to be as complicated as it seems. Keep reading below for pictures, recipes, and free printables that will help you recreate this beautiful look at home. Remember to check out our partner’s site, Creative Bag for all the supplies you see on our table today, and please share our video and blog with friends and family! image

Step One:

It’s crucial for the Petite & Sweet team to start the planning process by creating an inspiration board. This allows us to organize our ideas and stay on track. Remember to keep in mind a color pallet as your gathering your inspiration. We recommend choosing two to four colors. For this week, we were inspired by chalk, craft paper, and accents of yellow, green, and pink.

Step Two:

Everyone loves to eat at a party. That’s why the second step is to decide what food you’d like to serve your guests. We strongly believe that you should give your guests the option of two to four bite sized treats. We’ve used lollipops, cupcakes, chocolate dipped Oreos, chocolate covered pretzels and macarons. Check out the recipe below to learn how you can easily make dipped Oreos at home!

 Step Three:

Bridal showers should be fun. That’s why we’ve incorporated a delicious and unique cocktail to the mix. We chose a yummy Raspberry Popsicle Mojito that serves both as a boozy drink and a delicious snack. To make your own at home just follow the directions below!

 Step Four:

As always, incorporating printables on your sweet table is a great way to personalize an event. All the printables we’ve used in this episode are available to download for free below! If you would like custom printables, feel free to give us a call for a consultation.

Step Five:

We think it’s important to create an experience for your guests at your event. For this bridal shower, we’ve set up a “Sweet Advice” tree where guests can leave the bride some special messages to take away with her. We also incorporated chalk in many of the aspects on the sweet table including painting vessels with chalk paint, using chalkboard labels on the food and drinks, and placing labels on the mason jars so that guests can write their names on their glasses. Visit Creative Bag for all the chalk labels, tags, and vessels you see on this table!

Step Six:

Part of this experience is creating a fun takeaway for the guests. It’s a nice way for the guests to remember what an amazing time they had long after the event has ended. Take a look below for the materials you’ll need to assemble the takeaway and watch our video for instructions!

Our final step is to have fun and put everything together! Remember, although today’s episode was based around a bridal shower, you can use chalk, craft paper, and most of what you see on this table for any event you’re planning!

This may seem like a lot, but putting together a sweet table doesn’t have to be time consuming or stressful. Take a look below for Elle Daftarian’s easy six-step guide on how you can easily recreate this look!

Step One:

To simplify the process, always start by creating an inspiration board to guide yourself and keep the planning on track. Check out the one we created for our Easter Sweet table below! Remember to keep in mind a color pallet as you’re gathering your images. We recommend choosing two to four colors.

Step Two:

This is the time to figure out the food you’d like to have on your table. We strongly believe that you should give your guests the option of two to four bite sized treats. We’ve used cakepops, coconut egg nest cupcakes, marshmallows, and candy in our pastel color pallet. Check out the recipe for our delicious coconut egg nest cupcakes with chocolate buttercream below!

Step Three:

The third step is to figure out a drink option to offer your guests. Keeping our color pallet in mind, we’ve chosen a pink lemonade for our festive Easter table.

Step Four:

We believe that a great way to customize your table is to create pintables. Our talented graphics team has created some fun pintables for you to use or your own Easter tables including some fun photo booth props. Check out the link and have some fun!

Step Five:

Our favorite part of this process is putting together all the pieces to bring the table to life. In order to do that, you’re going to need to gather objects that you can use for vessels and tie in all those beautiful colors by using ribbons, flowers, risers and décor. We’re lucky enough to have Creative Bag  as our partner! Take a look at their website for everything you see on our table today, and a whole lot more!

Valentine’s Day - LOVE IS SWEET LOVE IS MESSY

It`s almost that time of year again, as the first big holiday of the New Year draws upon us and February 14th quickly approaches, were once again surrounded by reclaimed images associated with this amorous day know as Valentin’es Day.

For years, we have seen this holiday splattered with images of cupid, roses, romantic dinners, and most of all L.O.V.E - you know, that perfect love that everyone is searching for - the one that gives you butterflies in your tummy and makes you do crazy things.

Well here at Petite & Sweet, we decided to be a little more realistic in our interpretation of Valentine`s Day.

We decided to let out the messy part of LOVE by splattering red chocolate on our angelic white sweet table. Dressed with fluffy white cakes, delectable French macarons, mouth-watering cupcakes and gorgeous sugar cookies - just to name a few

You know the kind of love that`s not always perfect, Yes friends, LOVE is very sweet but also messy at times. Don`t you agree?

So no matter where your love stands this year, you can always be sure to add a little sugar with Petite & Sweet.
